What I really love about Scripture prayers is that I am not just asking God for things that I have come up with on my own I am praying his own words back to him. Intentionally beginning your day with prayer and Scripture can help you to focus your mind on God, to learn to trust him more, and to solidify his reign in your life. All those little habits that we have work together to shape who we are. Spending a few minutes in daily morning prayer, and meditating on Scripture, can help you to focus your mind and your heart on God, before all the responsibilities of the day rush in.Īsk yourself: do you start your day with prayer and Scripture, or with social media and to-do lists? While keeping in touch with friends and family and keeping up with work are both helpful and necessary goals, when you begin your day with worldly concerns instead of with God, you set a pattern for your whole day and your whole outlook on life. Because let's face it: the way that we start our day can have an enormous impact on the rest of it. Having some morning Bible verses to start your day is a great way to begin your day with God.
